Red Man II
Staying in Oklahoma!
|
Red Man II
DOB: 08/11/97 Red Man II is one of the original jacks from the famous Cobra herd, and he may be the only sorrel jack from that herd "out there" (JT kept the original Red Man). The foals that he has thrown so far have been straight and correct, as well as extremely friendly. Red Man II brings together the Cobra lines and the Sunset Acres bloodlines. His sire is the well known original Cobra's Red Man (lineage includes: Cobra's Arthor, Cobra's Little Texas) and his dam is Sunset Acres Marcie (Lineage includes: LCR Valtintino 50, DMF Mighty Moe, and several imports). Cobra's Red Man II is a very rich dark red with a broad red stripe, excellent topline and a nice hip and very straight legs. He has extensive roaning on his face and he is friendly and easy to hand breed or pasture breed. Below are three examples of foals produced by Red Man; they all have his great out-going disposition!

Poquito Rojo
|
Poquito Rojo
DOB: 04/20/05 Poquito Rojo is a four year old sorrel jack that is 31.5" inches tall. His pedigree looks like a Who's Who of sorrel donkeys including Arbor Ledge Little Red, Asspirin Acres Jolly Roger, Red Barron, Valentino, Red Sonfire, Nehmiah, Redsonnehi, Luigi, Jenny Sam, Throwback to Blue, Philamena. Rojo has a small stocky build, beautiful short head plus nice heavy bone. He is willing to do anything asked of him and would make a wonderful performance donkey. Unfortunately, we must sell him due to lack of space and he is related to most of our sorrel jennets.

Magellan Gin
Staying in Texas!
|
Magellan Gin
Date of Birth: 12/29/04
Magellan is a steady winner in our tough Texas show ring! At the 2008 ADMS National Show, he placed second in his halter class, sixth in his jumping class and first in leadline obstacles; he earned enough points to be named Reserve High Point Non-Driving Miniature Donkey. At the 2010 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, Magellan placed third in a class of nine two and older geldings, and at the recent Texas Shoot Out, he placed fourth in halter and third in lead-line trail! Good job, Magellan! And just think, he has been in cart training and with a little work, next year he should be ready to start competing in harness! He is an all-round little guy; quick to learn and eager to please!

Medicine Man
Staying in Texas! |
Medicine Man
M&M has been shown since he was six months old and has done very well in the show ring! The 2008 NMDA National Show in Waco, Texas was the last time that we showed M&M and at that show, he took first place in his halter class and first place in showmanship! His accomplishments in 2007 are listed below; he is a great animal for the show ring and he loves to compete!
2007 Model Gelding - SDMS Show - Corsicana, Tx
2007 Reserve Champion Gelding (twice) - SDMS Show - Corsicana 1st Place @ Halter - Fort Worth Livestock Show - Fort Worth, Texas Second Place @ Halter - SDMS Show - Corsicana, Texas Second Place @ Showmanship - SDMS Show - Corsicana, Texas Since retiring from the show ring, M&M has been trained to pull the cart, and like everything else that we have asked him to do, he drives with pride and enthusiasm. It has been a difficult decision to offer M&M to a new home, but he is just too good to be standing in the pasture!

Major * $2500 * * *We will be showing at
the Oklahoma
|
DOB:
07/24/96
Looking for an outstanding spotted herdsire! Major is your man, and he is looking for a nice herd of jennys to romance! Major has been our primary spotted herdsire for seven years, and we have been extremely pleased with the babies he has produced for us! We breed him to both solid and spotted jennys, and he always gives us a nice quality baby with his great laid-back disposition, and the majority of the time, it's spotted! We sell most of his foals as weanlings, and those that we have kept have matured into nice jennys and are doing a good job for us in our brood jenny herd. We have made the difficult decision to offer Major for sale as our breeding program now limits the number of jennys that we have for Major; we have decided to breed predominately for reds and blacks. Major is just too good to not use, so we have made the difficult decision to offer him for sale. A good home is a must! If you are breeding for spots now or just starting out, you can't go wrong with Major! He is a gentleman in the pasture and treats his jennys with respect! Major would be an excellent asset to your breeding program!
"Major is our Daddy!"

|
Stripes * $3000 *
* *We will be showing at the Oklahoma
|
DOB: 08/30/03 If you are breeding for small and red, don't pass this this little guy up .............. Stars and Stripes is nothing short of fantastic! He is a solid little jack, great laid-back disposition and a real gentleman in the breeding pasture. In addition to breeding our jennys, Stripes gets more outside jennys to breed than any of our herdsires; he definitely earns his 'keep!' He is a real 'eye catcher and has it all in one neat package! Stripes has done a good job for us, and it's been a hard decision to offer him for sale, but we won't have any jennys for him next year, and he is too good to 'put on the shelf .............. so here he is! He would be an asset to any breeding program, especially one that is breeding for those pretty red babies. He 'trademarks' his babies with good bone structure and wonderful wide/straight legs, and usually they have a star on their foreheads!
